WHAT IS COLLATERAL?

Collateral is something of value that is given to secure a debt and/or ensure payment. Often a bail bonds company will receive collateral to ensure that the defendant appears in court. Typically bail bond collateral is in the form of real estate (homes) or other personal property. The bail company returns your collateral at the resolution of the case.
At Remedy Bail Bods, collateral is generally not required for most bail bonds. We often negotiate no collateral bail bonds. We find that many of our customers are eligible for a no collateral bonds.
As part of the bail bonds process we will need you to answer some questions for the bail application. We look at different factors such as the length of time living at your residence, employment situation, credit rating, character, type of crime, and other factors. These factors are considered for both the defendant and the indemnitor (person signing the bail bond). We do this so that we can determine risk and therefore not require collateral.

WHEN IS BAIL BOND COLLATERAL RETURNED?

When the defendant’s case has been completed and all financial obligations are satisfied, collateral is returned to the individual who pledged it. We realize that not everyone has a perfect background, but most of our customers find it easy to qualify for a No Collateral bond. We also offer flexible payment options and our bail agents can help you arrange the most affordable terms
